We are pleased to invite you to:

Borexino General Meeting
Special Open Session
Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (INFN), Italy
2021, December 1st — 3:00 PM CET

[ Poster, Agenda (PDF) ]

On the occasion of the next Borexino collaboration meeting at the end of the data taking, we will hold a special open session for a recollection of the history and the achievements of Borexino throughout its three decade long saga.  Gianpaolo Bellini and Frank Calaprice will remind the key moments of the vibrant scientific and intellectual endeavor which led to the construction of the experiment, while scientists both internal and external to the collaboration will review the major achievements and legacy of Borexino in the neutrino field.  Other long-time Borexino friends will attend and give their tribute to the experiment.

The special session can be attended in person at LNGS or remotely via “Zoom” video conference. The number of participants at LNGS is limited, based on conference room allowed capacity.  Registration is required both for remote and in-person attendees (deadline November 28, 2021). Details for remote connection will be sent via email only to registered participants.

The event will also be live streamed (and recorded) for general public on the LNGS YouTube channel (no registration required), at this URL:  https://youtu.be/ncH-Noy6oek

The video on YouTube will remain available after the end of the live stream to be freely watched whenever you like.

Talks :

Please notice: the scheduled talk of F. Calaprice : “The uniqueness of the Borexino detector, a technological miracle” has been cancelled.
